Sandra Tellis is a 45-year-old woman from Oakland, California. On Friday, Sept. 1, she was the victim of a terrible attack. She was beaten, tied up, and set on fire. She is in critical condition in a Bay Area hospital and is slowly recovering.

Sandra's recovery will be long and slow. Please help me in letting her know that people around the world care.

On Friday, October 27, a wonderful thing happened. A number of local bands held a benefit concert for Sandra at the Uptown in downtown Oakland, and more than $600 was raised. (Please visit the diary section for more details.)
